Cake Turtle project for swiss national day

This project started my gif creations. Making gifs takes more effort than normal drawings, but I wanted to make them since a long time ago. Three cake turtle watercolor drawings were digitalized and animated. Use the gifs to wish your friends and family a happy swiss national day :)

Pen outlines

First I put the ideas down on paper with a pencil and black stabilo pen.
I decided to incorporate the swiss lampions (lanterns) and the tasty fluffy bread "1. August Weggen".

Coloring

I colored the drawings with my van gogh watercolor set.

Photo

I photographed my sketchbook page in bright sunlight and optimized the photo on my phone. I also added subtle effects for example the half tone patterns.

Animate and publish

I animated the photos (with only two frames) and uploaded them :) Finished!
